Bascule (Cape Grace Hotel, West Quay Road, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town) – with a view of the marina and its yachts (as well as Table Mountain), a cozy atmosphere, and a solid selection of liquor (especially whisky – reputed to be as many as 500 labels available there), Bascule is considered the best bar of the Waterfront. It draws in an after-work crowd on Friday evenings, and live DJs are often at hand later on.
